We were commissioned to make a feature chandelier for Gourmet Burger Kitchen in Guildford.  The piece was to hang in the centre of the new restaurant, linking the ground and upper floors.  The spec was to create an airy feel amongst the glass spheres and to include multiple light sources.  The colours chosen were based on a previous design for a private client: alabaster, lime and amber and the chandelier was to be 1.3m wide and 2.6m long.

We designed the chandelier on a scale model in the studio and from this created our design map.  The deadline was extraordinarily tight for a big bespoke piece - we only had 4 weeks! - but our lovely metal workers pulled out all the stops.

The terrible weather at the beginning of December 2010 conspired against us but the snow had melted sufficiently by 3rd December to enable us to begin the long process of hanging the glass on site.  The restaurant was still a building site and we were very cold!!  After two very long days the piece was finished and we were thrilled (more importantly so were the clients).
